Peace Now staging high-level event on home evictions

On the eve of a critical hearing in the Sheikh Jarrah eviction cases, Peace Now will be bringing the issues home to publics, both at home and abroad, through a hybrid conference held at the heart of the struggle in Sheikh Jarrah. The event on Friday, July 30, 2021, is being funded by Canadian Friends of Peace Now. Start time is 14:00 Jerusalem time, 7:00 ET.

Young Canadian Jewish leaders urge Canadian government to strongly oppose forced expulsions in Sheikh Jarrah

On July 22, 2021, young leaders from Canadian Friends of Peace Now, NIFC, and JSpaceCanada sent a letter to the Canadian government and the heads of all the major political parties urging them to speak out strongly against the forced expulsions and demolition of homes of Palestinians in East Jerusalem. We are proud of the stance and initiative taken by our youth board members.

CFPN urges Minister Garneau to speak out strongly on evictions and settlements

On Monday, July 19, 2021, along with other Jewish organizations, Canadian Friends of Peace Now participated in a virtual meeting with Global Affairs Minister Marc Garneau. The purpose of the meeting was for Minister Garneau to speak about his recent visit to Israel and the West Bank and to hear reactions and concerns from Canadian Jewish community leaders.
